Knitting was always my “thing”. I started when I was very small with my mother’s ever patient guidance. She was also a knitter I have such beautiful memories of sitting with mum knitting away.
I was visiting my cousin once, I was only 10 or so, and she was crocheting bright coloured squares. I asked my Aunt how to do it and she kindly taught me how to make a granny square. It was a lot of fun and it is also a great way to use up all of those left over bits and pieces.
Lately crochet has been everywhere. It’s retro, its colourful, it’s fun. I jumped on YouTube and after a few attempts, I was off and running.
I find crocheting a lot of fun, the results are fast and it is relatively easy to create different patterns and to grow within the craft.
